Pair of Art Deco coasters, 1930s

Beautiful pair of bottle (or carafe) coasters in Art Deco style, exuding a very "Roaring Twenties" elegance. The glass is adorned with a stylised floral pattern achieved through sandblasting, which leaves a frosted opaque background that contrasts beautifully with the clear glass and the frosted edge. The frame is made of silver-plated metal, set with a fine checkerboard frieze resembling wickerwork. The square hallmark visible on the edge (stating "Guaranteed Silver" + "2g") indicates that it is silver-plated metal and not solid silver; it could not be attributed to a specific maker. In very good overall condition, with its original patina (slight signs of use and natural oxidation, with no missing pieces or chips on the glass). Dimensions: 13 X 13 X 1.3 cm. Careful packaging.
