Description
So what is your sign? This clock has them all, along with the full zodiac that surrounds the hammered copper hour plate. Great piece if astrology is your thing. I think it's incredibly beautiful and very cool. I wouldn't say it's timeless, though. The electric timepiece works perfectly on time. The rest of the clock is in perfect condition. Only one defect: it lacks the number 1 which dials the 12 at the top of the hour. Could be repaired with a little bit of paint, but I didn't want to tinker too much with it. Dimensions: The clock is 27 centimeters (about 10.5") high. BUYERS BE AWARE: This clock works very well in Europe, Asia and the United States. However, for the US market, it would require a 220V/50Hz transformer - 110V/60Hz. With this cheap addition, the clock and lights will work well. Jacob Palmtag began making clocks in 1875 and lasted almost a century. In 1970, this German factory closed its doors. Which is a real shame, because Palmtag has made some of the most fantastic clocks. Usually they used a combination of natural wood, copper or brass and thick glass, sometimes engraved. The most beautiful copies were made between the 20s and 60s.
