Ziegler vase Schaffhausen – sgraffito fish – Gustav Spörri period

Vintage ceramic vase from the Swiss manufacturer Ziegler Schaffhausen, dating from the 1950s–1960s, corresponding to the artistic direction of Gustav Spörri. Beautiful modernist shape with a wide flared opening, adorned with a fish design and incised aquatic motifs, in the sgraffito style. The glaze in olive brown, beige, and pale green hues gives the piece a character typical of Mid-Century design. The underside bears the stamp ZIEGLER SCHAFFHAUSEN, as well as the references 428 / 1577. A beautiful piece of Swiss ceramics from the mid-20th century, both decorative and interesting for a vintage ceramics collection. Dimensions: 18 × 13 × 9 cm. Very good vintage condition, with slight signs of age consistent with its antiquity.
