Brutalist low chair attributed to Charles Dudouyt, around 1940.

Brutalist low chair (1930-40) in solid wood, probably oak, very dense and heavy. The straw seat is made of sea rush, in very good condition for its age, although one side is slightly damaged due to being scratched by a cat! The conical legs appear to float thanks to a slight recess at the base. Beautiful patina of the wood. The decorative balls on the backrest have fine cracks, but these do not affect the structure of the chair or its sturdiness. Work attributed to Charles Dudouyt.
