Impressive Danish executive desk with a matching sideboard, designed by Arne Vodder for Sibast in the 1960s. From the "200" series, model 224 B1. The desk is crafted from wood veneer, featuring a beautiful, flame-like grain pattern and warm, reddish-brown tones. The generous desktop appears to float above the sideboard; together with the rounded solid-wood legs and the exquisitely finished back panel, it forms a perfectly balanced composition. Square metal handles with a circular indentation add a refined detail to the design. The desk includes four drawers, the top one of which is equipped with a pen tray. The accompanying sideboard offers ample storage space, featuring various compartments, drawers, and two long tambour doors. It also includes a drawer designed for filing folders. The back of the desk is finished with a veneered panel, which visually unifies the piece and allows it to be placed freely within a room. Several original factory labels have been preserved. One label specifies the model number 224 B1, while other components bear stickers marked "Puerto Rico." Additionally, one drawer features a handwritten inscription: "B Sibast 1318." This substantial executive desk is an exceptional piece for a spacious office or a stylish home workspace. The desktop has been carefully cleaned and cleared of any deep signs of wear, then treated with oil—bringing out its warm color and distinctive wood grain once again. Total dimensions: W 204 × D 221.5 × H 73 cm. Desk: W 204 × D 94 × H 73 cm. Sideboard: W 221 × D 45.5 × H 63.5 cm. The desk is in very neat vintage condition. All drawers and doors function well and operate smoothly. No key is included.
