This delft earthenware vase, with a smooth and shiny white background, with blue patterns of different tones ranging from light to dark, is characterized by its fleshy belly with ribs. It is topped by a fao dog lid, covered with flowers, surrounded by wavy friezes. The top of the belly, squared and with natural motifs, leads to an abundant plant decoration, consisting of flowers, fruits and dragonflies, which frames two scenes in which we see pagodas, a watercourse and birds on the horizon. It ends on a slightly flared foot with the same patterns as the top of the rumen. Delft earthenware, originating from dutch factories since the seventeenth century, is characterized by its enamelling and the finesse of its decorations; qualities that this luminous vase can boast. ********* Period: early twentieth.
