Small Blackened Wood Armchair, Napoleon III Period – Mid-19th Century

Small napoleon III armchair in blackened, painted and gilded wood, in its original condition. Its back is sculpted and openworked by small columns, topped with a sphere at each end. Its sculpted armrests are decorated with scrollwork, pine cones and moldings. The seat is covered in gray fabric and surrounded by cream-colored braid. It rests on 2 turned and sculpted legs at the front and two curved straight legs at the back. Napoleon III period. In original condition. Width 48.5 cm – depth 47 cm – height 78 cm seat height 37 cm.
