Vintage Melitta chocolate brown coffee maker – 1970s

Stunning vintage Melitta stoneware coffee pot in chocolate brown glaze, made in West Germany in the 1970s. Its clean design blends straight lines with gentle curves: a slightly curved body, a circular handle, a long spout, a sleek lid, and a subtly grooved base. All this in a deep glaze with warm highlights, typical of the German modernist style of that decade. The underside features the molded base with a concentric rosette pattern, characteristic of Melitta's productions. Height 16 cm (including lid), 914 cm without lid, diameter at its widest point 9 cm. In beautiful vintage condition, glossy glaze, original lid, just a small chip on the handle on the side (see photos). Ideal for a mid-century European style kitchen or a coffee corner inspired by 1970s designer cafes.
