Set of 3 vintage industrial formica chairs from the 1950s. These are collective chairs (for schools, offices, or cafeterias) in Mid-Century Modern style. They are typical of industrial design from the 1950s and 1960s, most likely of European origin (often French, German, or Dutch). The seat and backrest are made of pagwood (a mixture of wood veneer, often beech, injected with synthetic resin, making it very durable and flexible) with a precious wood imitation pattern (such as rosewood or zebrawood). The legs are made of chrome or nickel-plated steel tubing. This style is similar to the creations of Pagholz (Flötotto) in Germany or certain models by Friso Kramer or Adam Stegner. The chrome is in good condition and the wood is not cracked. Price displayed for the set of 3 with the possibility of selling individually on a pro-rata basis. Width 38, depth 43, height 77/46.
