Salt-glazed stoneware cup from Betschdorf – Fortuné Schmitter. Very beautiful cup made of genuine salt-glazed stoneware from Alsace, crafted by the Fortuné Schmitter pottery in Betschdorf. The piece features a superb handcrafted relief decoration depicting a cluster of cobalt blue grapes, accompanied by green leaves and tendrils on a light grey background typical of Betschdorf stoneware. Beautiful glazed finish and hand-painted decoration, with the Fortuné Schmitter pottery mark under the base. A lovely piece of Alsatian craftsmanship, to be used as a cup or simply as a decorative object. Made in France – Betschdorf, Alsace. Salt-glazed stoneware.
