Flat desk from the Restoration period in mahogany.

Antique flat desk from the Restoration period simulating a double-sided desk. Made of mahogany and veneered with light mahogany, varnished. Circa 1820. The top surface features original olive green leather with gold trim around the edges and in the centre, decorated with a floral frieze, palmettes, a rosette, and laurel surrounding a torch in each corner. Includes 2 pull-out slides/tablets on each side of the piece. Lock entries, feet, and small handles in gilded bronze. Tapered legs. Contains 4 drawers, with the drawers on each side spanning the full depth of the desk. The bottom of the legs is the same colour as the rest of the piece; this is not a defect (shadow during photography). Total length with the slides extended: 202 cm. The piece has been restored in our workshop. Includes 1 key for the 3 drawers. Please note a small scuff on the leather of the top (see last photo). Overall very good condition.
