This lithograph “la féérie des heures - la tempête” is signed henri rivière and bears a red stamp at the bottom left. The work is authentic and old. For the condition, note a slight fold on the left corner, an ink line on the right, small stains in places in the margin and on the litho. We note a difference in size between the top and bottom of the margin. The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible. Henri rivière (1864-1951) is a french painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, of the shadow theater at the cabaret du chat noir, shows that he improved by creating very innovative color sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, woodcuts, lithography and watercolor (he painted around a thousand watercolors).
