Old Parisian buffet

This superb sideboard has been entirely sanded with its glossy varnish to find its original wood which does not deserve this kind of artifice... It was completely cleaned with a biological detergent (pure labeled) so as not to attack it again. Superb tray that probably had to receive a buffet top by the 2 holes of peg at the back of it. We filled the one on the left with a small knot of reclaimed wood and the other could be plugged in the same way or by a wood pulp that cracking on drying would recreate this kind of knot of wood... Its original lock blocked by time and perhaps a little too much varnish has been changed by a new one. The handles of its drawers are of subtly art-deco inspiration. The interior restraint system of the left door has also been changed. The dimensions of this sideboard: l 119 X h 103 X 50.5 cm.
