Salad bowl planter in earthenware sarreguemines u&c arabesque red calcutta

This superb cup is made of sarreguemines earthenware. Planter or toilet basin, it is the calcutta model in red. It is decorated with delicate moorish arabesques and friezes. This large jatte is adorned on the outside and inside. This set bears a "u&c" brand for the utschneider & cie manufacture in sarreguemines and the "calcutta" model. I report a large chip on the edge and two chips underneath. Dating from the early 20th century, this piece is rare in its size and décor. It measures 35.5 cm in diameter X 11.5 cm in height.
