Pair of crystal wall lights made as part of a collaboration between the Danish lighting manufacturer LYFA and the Swedish glassworks Orrefors in the 1960s, in very good condition. Documented as the "Venus" model. 4 pairs available. Price for 1 pair. Often attributed to the Swedish designer Carl Fagerlund. Each of these stunning wall lights is made of thick clear mould-blown crystal glass, curved to form a semi-circle and held in place by two brass screws. Behind the crystal glass is a fine polished brass wall mount, slightly smaller than the glass piece. The crystal glass pieces feature a raised bubble pattern on the front and a faceted pattern on the back to diffuse the light. When these Venus wall lights are illuminated, the richly textured crystal glass creates a soft glow and diffuses the emitted light in all directions. The Hollywood Regency style meets Scandinavian modernism, and the wall lights would be perfect as accent lamps in a living room or hallway, as bedside lamps, or even in an office. Wherever you place them, they are enchanting pieces of Scandinavian glass design. This pair of wall lights is in good vintage condition with minimal signs of use and age. No cracks, chips, or other damage to the glass, and little sign of wear and age on the polished brass parts.
