Antique French Louis XVI Style Glass and Bronze Pendant Lamp c. 1900

Beautiful French antique ceiling light suspension light in the Louis XVI style with a large opaline glass shade in the form of a dome and gilded bronze trim of laurel wreaths and floral decoration, featuring a large floral rosette at the bottom, made in the early 1900s. Condition. Overall in excellent condition for its age and oozing with character and style, the gilding would benefit from a clean and polish, with a little wear in places. The opaline shade has some tiny rust marks from the past where the three screws that hold it on have marked it; it may come off, but I prefer to leave it as is. There are also a couple of tiny imperfections in the hand-blown opaline shade. The light for this beauty has a single screwed socket in the centre for an E27 screw thread bulb. The wiring is European 2 core, and although shown lit up, it would be very wise to have it checked over by a competent DIY-er or electrician before hanging it in place. Dimensions.
