Mid-Century artistic ceramic, a piece with a highly graphic asymmetrical design. Shaped by the famous West German manufacturer Scheurich Keramik in the 1950s, this large terracotta catchall features a free and curved form. Its abstract interior decoration combines brick red and yellow concentric circles along with hand-painted black wavy lines on a sandy beige textured glazed background. The reverse of the piece bears the official signature engraved under glaze "Foreign 314", a rare marking specific to post-war export pieces. An ideal collector's item to enhance an entrance furniture piece or a Scandinavian sideboard. Manufacturer: Scheurich Keramik (W. Germany) Export model: Foreign 314. Era: Circa 1950. Dimensions: 24 cm X 22 cm. Height: 7 cm. Material: Textured glazed art ceramic. Condition: Excellent vintage condition, very fresh colours.
