Extending coffee table by Drevopodnik Holesov, Czech Republic, 1970.

Extendable coffee table designed by drepovodnik holesov. Its clean, minimalist lines are representative of czechoslovakian design from the 70s. The sturdy top rests on a slender inverted t-shaped bentwood base. Once deployed, the table measures 170 cm, thanks to a 45cm extension hidden under the top and a so-called “butterfly” system. Made entirely of solid beech, the designer plays on the alternating direction of the grain of the wood of the top to create a slight striped effect varying according to the light. In clear varnish finish, its design is timeless! In perfect condition, a safe investment, robustness and style that will stand the test of time.
