The Cassina Grand Confort Petit Fauteuil is a classic design by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret. Since 1965, the Italian company Cassina has been producing the beautiful LC series, but the design itself dates back to 1928. At that time, Le Corbusier was working with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret in a workshop in Paris. The great success came in 1927 when the pair decided to collaborate with a young architect: Charlotte Perriand. This fruitful partnership led to many design successes, including this LC2 Fauteuil. At that moment, the Fauteuil represented everything that was new and modern in furniture and grew into a true design classic. The distinctive frame made of chrome-plated steel holds the full cushions filled with polyurethane foam together. No less than six zones in the foam ensure the right balance of firmness and softness. On top of the foam, a layer of springs or polyester wadding is applied. The polyester wadding keeps the cushions taut.
