Very fine Senneh kilim from Iran, handwoven in wool, double-sided. Second half of the 20th century, in very good condition. Dimensions: 295 X 200 cm. Very fine hand-knotted kilim from Senneh, Iran, dating from the early 20th century. Origin: Iran. Tribe: Senneh. Period: early 20th century. Material: wool on wool. Technique: flat weave, double-sided. Condition: vintage, generally good condition, no wear. Senneh rugs are hand-knotted in the Kurdistan province, in western Iran, around the city of Sanandaj, formerly known as Senneh. Featuring a large central diamond design with a rich colour palette. They are characterised by classic ornaments arranged in straight and geometric patterns. Due to their cultural and traditional origin, these rugs have a unique character that embodies ancient Persia. White fringes on two sides. A superb kilim made by the Senneh Kurdish tribes, entirely handwoven according to Iranian traditions. This rug captivates with its atypical patterns and bright palette of powder pink, orange, blue, and ivory tones, bringing warmth and authenticity to any interior. Made of wool on wool, it is reversible thanks to its flat weaving technique, offering excellent durability and great versatility. Senneh kilims are renowned for the quality of their craftsmanship and their designs inspired by Persian tribal culture. A decorative piece of character, ideal for a living room, a large entrance, or a dining room, suitable for both contemporary and classic interiors. My site on Google: Tapis Galerie Sardje.
