Butterfly naturalized under second-hand frame. Length: 26cm. Width: 20cm. Thickness: 3.3cm. Tips: survivor of a much larger entomological box this papilio dardanus is a naturalized insect of beautiful color. Originally placed under glass by a mysterious bernard flageaulet in 1997 among other butterflies he is a survivor of the passing of time even if it has left some traces. This butterfly is indeed slightly damaged in places. The species comes from the regions of tropical africa. This insect has been placed in a thick second-hand frame for an upcycling that allows it to be exposed again. This black wooden frame can be placed or suspended thanks to a black metal back fastener. Place it on a fireplace apron or in an accumulation of frames to bring out its color and patterns. This style of frame can very well marry with an old illustration or a vintage botanical poster. This revalorized object is in its juice: the frame shows multiple traces of wear (visible in photo) and the butterfly has lived.
