Vintage Mid Century Swedish Framed Oil Painting - The Canal

A vibrant and energetic impressionist oil painting presenting a river canal flowing through lush greenery a summer’s day. The swift and expressive brushstrokes convey a painterly illusion of movement from the water currents and swaying trees in the wind; and the impressionistic style and layered brushstrokes create great texture and depth in this work. The painting is wonderfully presented in a gilt frame with patterned moulding and a linen lining.
