Covered ceramic pot from the late 19th century by the Faïencerie d'Art d'Angoulême "Le Renoleau, " founded by Alfred Renoleau in 1891. It is adorned with a characteristic bird surrounded by a floral and foliage motif, plus a butterfly at the bottom, with the decoration done by hand. Tripod pot (on three small feet) with a side handle and a lid also equipped with a small handle for gripping. This type of small covered pot traditionally served in the 19th and early 20th centuries as a sugar bowl, jam pot, mustard pot, salt shaker, or olive pot. On the bottom of the pot is the stamp of the Faïencerie d’Art d’Angoulême "Le Renoleau" + label Pot à Olives. No chips or cracks to report, Covered pot in very good overall condition.
