Coffee table by Ercol, 1960s

Mid-century coffee table, vintage, by lucian ercolani for ercol, from the 1960s. This classic and iconic piece (#459), has a beautiful top featuring stunning patterns of solid elm natural wood grain in rich and warm colors, and underneath, a magazine holder and legs made of solid beech wood. The table is in very good condition, original and vintage, with some light signs, marks of age and previous use proportional to time, on the top and the general structure (see photos with a 1 cent coin for perspective), and has retained a very beautiful patina of time (see photos.) The table has only been delicately cleaned, oiled and waxed in accordance with the natural patina of time. It is strong and stable. Although this piece is still manufactured by ercol today, current models are only available in ash wood, as elm wood is no longer available for furniture making.
