ceramic cup from the Ratilly Jeanne and Norbert workshop

For ceramic lovers, a charming large glazed stoneware bowl with the owl-shaped stamp, the emblematic mark of the ratilly workshop (burgundy), used by jeanne and norbert pierlot to authenticate their pieces. Lovely mix of colors and materials with a partially glazed stoneware pot. The château de ratilly, located in the yonne, became a center of ceramic creation in the 1950s under the impetus of jeanne and norbert pierlot, important figures in the revival of artisanal pottery. Their production is influenced by medieval and japanese techniques, with simple, utilitarian shapes and sober glazes (often brown, celadon, white, blue-gray or black). Good condition, no defects.
