Vintage Murano blown glass soliflore vase 50-60 Filigrana/Zanfirico

Elegant soliflore vase, blown glass from Murano, handcrafted Venetian work from the 1950s-60s. Decor known as Filigrana or Zanfirico, red and colourless inserted into the mass. Bubble-shaped body with a long, slightly flared narrow neck, scalloped rim, highlighted by two twisted handles resembling snakes wrapped around the neck, applied hot. The body is decorated at its base with 5 red stems, a fine high foot decorated with 2 wrapped red stems, on a flat round base. Inspired by the "vetri a serpenti" style of the 16th century. 29cm in height, approximately 8cm in maximum diameter, 9cm in width at the handles. In new condition, no cracks or chips, small discreet surface scratches on the top of the body (about 2cm). Weighs approximately 200g.
