Pair of chairs Michael Thonet No. 103, 1888 and 1922

Pair of thonet chairs no. 103 in curved wood. chair 103 is an elegant performance seat with a bent headband at the top of the back and adorned with simple hollow patterns. On some versions, a space is reserved to insert a name plate or place number. Early versions of the late 19th century had slightly curved feet with mouldings. Later, the feet stiffen and lose all ornament. Both chairs have their label and their thonet stamp, validating a chair produced between 1888 and 1922. Origin: austria, vienna.
