Wall unit wall library + desk Van den Berghe-Pauvers

Superb vintage wall composition by Van den Berghe-Pauvers, Ghent, dating from the 1960s and attributed to Belgian designer Jos De Mey. A large piece of furniture that is both elegant and highly functional: a bookshelf, storage, secretary, and desk combined into a single composition. The black metal structure features several wooden shelves whose height can be adjusted. The left side includes two large closed storage spaces. The upper compartment opens to become a secretary, with a work surface, internal storage, a glass shelf, and original integrated lighting, still functional. The lower part also offers generous storage and a small internal drawer. On the right, a large tabletop creates a true office space, topped with three shelves. The contrast of warm wood and the black metal structure gives the whole piece a sleek and graphic line, characteristic of Belgian modernist furniture from the 60s. Despite its size and ample storage capacity, the structure remains visually light. The piece still bears its original Van den Berghe-Pauvers – Gent label.
