Glass vase by Claude Morin. Circa 1960. Artist: Claude Morin. Era: 20th century. Style: 1950s-1960s design. Condition: Good condition. Material: Glass. Claude Morin (1933-2021) was one of the French glassmakers who revived the art of glassblowing in France. In 1970, he and his wife founded the "Le Pontil" glassworks in Dieulefit (Drôme). The success of his glass pieces was immediate. During his first exhibition of sculpture and glass at the Galerie Club de Genève in September 1970, all of his glass works were sold. National and international exhibitions followed in the following decade, and his rise was meteoric, making him a pioneer of modernity in his field. Claude Morin was also the precursor of the Studio Glass movement in France. Many of his creations are exhibited in the collections of glass museums.
