Barbieri & Marianelli table lamp for Tronconi Pall design Space Age 1980

An exceptional Italian design object from the 1980s, created by the renowned architects Barbieri & Marianelli for the Tronconi company. The 'Pall' model is a masterful example of geometric rationalism and minimalism, highly sought after by collectors. The lamp stands out for its formal purity, based on the intersection of two essential geometric figures: the hemisphere of the base and the flat circle of the diffuser. The disc acts as a reflector and screen, creating diffuse and ambient light. The 'total white' aesthetic and clean lines make it a sculptural object, a perfect representation of Italian modernism. The base is made of heavy white lacquered metal; the diffuser disc is made of white methacrylate (plexiglass). Dimensions: base diameter 13 cm, disc diameter 23 cm (thickness 0.4 cm), height 26.5 cm.
