Space Age Mantis lounge chair by Gerard Van Den Berg for Montis

This Mantis lounge chair was designed by Gerard van den Berg for Montis, Netherlands. Montis introduced a revolutionary idea for upholstering, known as the Jacket technique. The innovation was on enabling a leather cover to be zipped around a metal frame. The chair is covered entirely with grey leather, and remains in a good condition with some patina on the seat.
