Turkish rug, handmade cream wool 54x116cm

This elegant handwoven rug is a small vintage carpet woven in turkey, anatolia in the 1940s. The design features a traditional tribal design with a medallion and decorative geometric surround, symmetrically woven. This has then been framed by a repeating pattern floral border. Woven with a subtle colour palette of beige, brown and cream. Suitable for both classic and contemporary home interiors. Constructed by master weavers with traditional hand-knotting techniques and materials including, organically dyed hand-spun wool and cotton.
