Varnished terracotta jar

The arrival of steam engines in the 19th century greatly contributed to the growth of pottery in Castelnaudary, which had previously been made by hand. Our pot has imperfections related to the wear of time; it is often in this way that we appreciate them... well-worn! The measurements are taken with the handles.
