Mid-Century Modern Swedish "Skyline" Vintage Framed Cityscape Oil Painting

Skyline. Size: 29 X 37 cm (including frame) Oil on board. A small and vibrant modernist oil composition, featuring a city skyline where rows of tall buildings are set against a striking red background. Painted in an expressive manner, the artist has used blocks of rich and saturated colour, hints of bold outlines, and areas of impasto (where the paint has been applied thickly such that it stands proud from the surface) to make up this beautifully textured and striking piece that evokes tactility. This oil on board is housed in a slim wood frame, which has slight widening to the corners. The painting is otherwise in very good vintage condition.
