Maison Lecan presents this modernist coffee table from the 1960s, attributed to the Lilienthal production, a German specialist in ceramic top tables that are highly sought after today by mid-century design enthusiasts. The top is composed of a tightly arranged mosaic of small black and white speckled ceramic tiles, rhythmically interspersed with solid white tiles — a minimalist and repetitive composition that plays with texture and light. The whole creates a surface that is both discreet and visually rich, changing appearance depending on the angle and lighting. The mosaic is in very good overall condition. The structure in black lacquered metal, with a double T-shaped base, is clean and precise — typical of the industrial and rational vocabulary of German design from the 60s. It allows the top to take centre stage without competing with it. With its length of 135 cm, it is a generous table that naturally fits into a large living room, a loft, or any contemporary interior in search of a graphic and timeless piece.
