Wrought iron plant holder

Black wrought iron plant holder whose history I don't know other than that it belonged to my grandfather whose house was filled with exceptional antique furniture. I only got this plant holder which is no longer useful to me. Its value is unknown to me, I trusted what I see on this site and do not wish to go down because it has an emotional value for me more than the rest. A few places are damaged, I took close-ups, they could be repainted, but it is usable as is if you like to leave the furniture in its original state. Or repaint it black.
