Very pretty Bakelite box or powder compact, from the 1930s, with a beautiful floral decoration carved on the lid. Beautiful model by Edward Fornells, (stamped Editions Fornells Paris in the hollow of the lid handle) listed in books dealing with art deco. Very stylized pattern, typical of the period, hydrangea or small flowers and large leaves. Dimensions: diam. 14cm, 5cm. Available in Paris or sent by post.
