Anders Pehrson – Bumling floor lamp in brass, second half of the 20th century

Bumling floor lamp designed by Anders Pehrson for the Ateljé Lyktan manufacture in 1965. Anders Pehrson (1912–1982) is a major Swedish industrial designer of the 20th century. He is primarily known for his work as the director of the Ateljé Lyktan manufacture, which he led from the 1960s. Under his leadership, the company became one of the key players in modern Scandinavian lighting design. Pehrson helped to modernise domestic and architectural lighting in Sweden, developing fixtures that were both functional, industrial, and aesthetic. His creations, such as the Bumling series, are distinguished by simple geometric shapes, metallic materials (brass, steel), and a strong modernist identity. Today, his pieces are considered icons of vintage Scandinavian design, sought after by collectors and featured in many 20th-century design collections. Very good overall condition.
