White lined crystal stemmed glass overlay Baccarat XIXh century

This superb antique stemmed glass is made of baccarat crystal. This cup is made of white opaline overlay on a transparent crystal. The crystal works of baccarat and saint-louis, whose catalogues are common in the 19th century, have produced works in crystal lined with color and opaline. The overlay technique is a specialty of crystal factories in the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century: a first transparent crystal parison is covered with a second opaline parison, then it is cut to reveal the underlying crystal. This glass is decorated with oves and cut circles, cleared with the wheel. In very good condition, it measures 12 cm high and 7.5 cm in diameter. I report scratches of use.
