Triple wardrobe in walnut veneer by Waring & Gillow

We are delighted to offer for sale this high-quality walnut veneered wardrobe with a crest, signed Waring & Gillow Lancaster, which is part of a suite. This piece is part of a bedroom set that includes a triple wardrobe, a dressing table with a triple mirror, a pair of bedside chairs, a large bedside table, and a chest of drawers. The sale concerns only the wardrobe mentioned above. This piece is of exceptional quality, a true masterpiece of craftsmanship. Made from quarter-sawn walnut with a large panel adorned with walnut veneer in the centre of the upper door, inlaid in the shape of curtain tassels. The feet are finely carved with silver-gilt detailing. A floral marquetry frieze runs across the entire front. The piece bears the original Gillow metal plaque from Lancaster inside, above the full-length mirror. The locks are stamped Waring & Gillows LTD Lancaster. The wardrobe disassembles into several parts for ease of transport. Unique in its kind, it is a museum-quality piece. The furniture has been carefully cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished.
