Jewelry box in scoubidou, upholstered interior, circa 1960

Favorite for the colors of this box, green and black scoubidou on the outside and blue and pale pink inside, which gives it a contemporary look. Yet this box experienced the first man on the moon, evidenced by a discoloration of the edges of the inner blue satin fabric. Far from devaluing the object, this trace of discoloration makes it even more charming! It is a surprising object in very good vintage condition with great care of finishes as evidenced by the padded satin fabrics, nails and edges of gilded metal finish.
