Rug with roses made by hand in Romania

Gorgeous handmade rug from south romania, amazing colors and excuisite floral design made by hand from wool and cotton, tinted using traditional methods. Beautiful red roses on a blue background. It was never used, kept in the dowry, in good conditions. Large size, 323×164 cm. I grown up with this: every winter, at my grandmother' s house, women from the village, neighbors and relatives, spend the evenings and those long winter nights together, working on beautiful wool carpets or other handmade items. This is our story.
