Rare ceramic lamp base made by the now world-renowned ceramicist antonio lampecco circa 1970. Like a vase with a small neck (typical of lampecco), this lamp base is ovoid in shape. The images clearly show that the hole for the electrical cable is originally designed (enamel inside the hole). In excellent condition, this lamp is fully functional. It uses e23 bulbs, compatible with led models. Biography: antonio alberto lampecco (minucciano, 1932) is a belgian ceramicist known for his round spherical vases and small necks. He moved with his family to maredsous in 1949 where he acquired belgian nationality, he then opened his own studio in maredret (namur, belgium). He exhibited in the netherlands and abroad in important cities such as florence, paris and lisbon. His ceramic works have won gold medals. Works in different collections (maria gomes...) and museums (andenne ceramics museum...). Since his death in 2019, his rating has continued to climb. His works are regularly sold at public auctions at christies, sotheby's, cornette de saint cyr, ... Collectors take note! Staying in the same period, we can compare his work to certain artists such as jacques and dani ruelland.
