Here is a pretty ceramic that will not leave anyone indifferent with its pretty colored dots typical of the 60s and 70s, on a mustard caramel background, decorated with "foam" which recalls what was done in Vallauris in those years. Originally, it is probably a fruit bowl but it could also be diverted into a pocket emptier in an entrance or to receive remote controls and other accessories which often clutter the coffee table in the living room. It is stamped VERCOR underneath. My investigation has not reached the end, but here is what I know: Vercor was, according to another stamp of the brand, the "1st French channel for the diffusion of ceramics and glassware". In addition, I also found ceramics with both the stamp "Vercor" and a label "art ceramics - Jougne -25" and there was indeed a pottery in Jougne at that time (closed for more than 25 years) but known under the name of Guyon. My hypothesis is therefore that Vercor had ceramics (and glassware) made in different workshops or factories in France, perhaps even in Vallauris since this cup is very reminiscent of Vallauris ceramics. This cup is in good condition, no cracks, no chips, just tiny chips or abrasions that are barely visible underneath or on the edge of the cup. It measures approximately 31.5 cm by 26.5 cm for a height varying between 4 and 7 cm.
