Luminous sculptural work by sophie garralon. By (re)developing the stone cardboard technique invented in the 19th century to create decorative effects for interior architecture, the artist sophie garralon invites us to discover these sensitive and organic works. Height without lampshade 69cm height with lampshade 105 cm width 54 cm sophie garralon is a french artist born on 01/30/1966. She creates colorful high-relief compositions. Emerging volumes, structures with springing lines, fragmented, broken, dynamic... The beginning of a work begins with the impulse of freedom of forms, of a plethora of mini chaos entangled with each other, of random lines. At this stage the uncertain reading of the work inspires the artist with a new direction. Playing with colors (often complementary to each other: red/green, yellow/purple, orange/blue, etc.), various materials such as cardboard, vinyl paper, glitter highlights, etc. The artist seeks to capture the eye and the senses of the viewer through multi-colored graphic optical games and material effects. The dreamlike vitality in this joyful complexity invites the passerby to awaken the emotions of the child within him. Sophie garralon seeks to be in connivance with the original inner world of each spectator. Reminiscences of the first emotions in the aesthetic discovery of the child's world. A mexican lady told me one day that in her country "paintings with certain colors had the vocation of healing people's souls..." collection: private collection in france, china, united states, england, netherlands.
