This japanese print on paper framed under glass is a part of a triptych. Ukiyo-e technique, woodcut. The scene depicts a procession party where priests and samurai follow one another. The term "oban" means the most common format for engraving in japan, measuring about 37 × 25 cm, while "tate-e" indicates that the engraving is vertical. The piece is framed and dated meiji 22 (1889). Slight fold in the upper right corner, some marks due to age (see photos).
