Extendable dining table model 778, designed in 1968 by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina. A carefully considered design in which functionality and aesthetics are seamlessly combined. In its closed position, the table presents a compact and understated appearance, unfolding effortlessly into a more generous dining table while maintaining its original proportions and structural clarity. Executed with a solid beechwood base and a tabletop in beech veneer, selected for its stability and calm, even grain. The visible hinges and clean lines emphasize the rational, almost architectural character of the design. A timeless and finely crafted piece that clearly reflects the design thinking of the late 1960s. In good vintage condition, with light signs of use consistent with age.
