Pair of enamelled woven ceramic trinket trays signed BL, Le Brusc (Var)

Rare, elegant, and full of character, these two enameled ceramic trinket trays or bowls come from an artisan workshop in Le Brusc, a small Provençal port in Six-Fours-les-Plages (Var). Signed BL, they likely date from the 1960s–1970s. Their particularity lies in their material work: a ceramic weave imitating wicker, enhanced by a deep emerald green enamel with brown highlights. A piece that is both decorative and utilitarian, typical of the Mediterranean style of this period. Each piece is unique, shaped and enameled by hand. Diameter 14 cm, height 2 cm. Very good condition, very shiny. For a holiday home, seaside, or chic flea market atmosphere, as trinket trays, original coasters, or simple decorative objects.
