Exceptionally beautiful set of four Danish dining chairs, produced by Schou Andersens Møbelfabrik A/S in the 1960s. The design is characterised by the pronounced organic shapes of the solid teak. The wide, sculpturally shaped backrests stand out: the wood flows smoothly upwards from the rear legs and widens into a comfortable, slightly curved back support. This makes the chairs particularly attractive from both the front and back. The relatively slender legs and open construction give the chairs a light appearance. The warm colour and pronounced grain of the teak are combined with new upholstery in a fresh ochre yellow furniture fabric, which contrasts nicely with the wood. All four chairs have been professionally restored and reupholstered. The teak has been carefully treated, retaining its original character and natural wood structure. The chairs are in very good vintage condition and are marked. Dimensions are as follows: height 86 cm, width 57 cm, depth 43 cm. Seat height 46 cm. Carefully selected vintage design. Professionally restored where necessary, with respect for the original design, craftsmanship and materials used.
