This small oval coffee table in mahogany and mahogany veneer, crafted in the refined style of Louis XVI, captivates with the harmony of its proportions and the quality of its materials. Its top is adorned with a luminous and delicately veined white Carrara marble (with a visible restoration), encircled by a finely crafted openwork brass gallery that highlights its precious character. The apron features a discreet drawer, perfectly integrated, equipped with a small brass knob that adds an extra touch of sophistication. The whole piece rests on four elegantly turned tapered legs, typical of neoclassical aesthetics, connected by a stretcher surrounded by a moulded brass band that echoes the decorative codes of the furniture and enhances its balanced appearance. A piece that is as decorative as it is functional, it embodies the timeless charm of 19th-century furniture and brings a note of distinction and refinement to any interior. Period: 2nd half of the 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our cabinetmaking workshop. Finish: shellac. 473V.
